HOW DOES TRIA HAIR REMOVAL WORK?

For optimal results, we recommend one treatment every other week for the first three months then one treatment per month for 3-5 months. 1. Cleanse, shave, and thoroughly towel-dry the skin.
2. Select the energy level that's comfortable for you. There are three levels to choose from: 1 (low), 2 (medium), 3 (high).
3. Apply the tip of the laser to the skin and listen for the beep indicating that and the device has delivered an automatic laser pulse*.
If you hear a buzz, the laser has misfired and you will need to re-treat the area.
4. Reposition the TRIA laser by overlapping slightly with the last treatment area and repeat until you have covered the desired area.
5. Repeat every other week for the first three months then one treatment per month for the next 3-5 months.

*When applied to the skin, the TRIA laser emits a single laser pulse, delivering a beam of light through the tip of the device. The tip is large enough to treat multiple hair follicles at a time in a concentrated area. Once the pulse is complete, the TRIA laser will emit a short beep, indicating you should move on to the next treatment area.

What To Expect

During Treatment Depending on the density of the hair in the area(s) being treated and the depth of the hair color, some experience mild to moderate discomfort as the hair follicle heats up, which some users describe as a feeling that ranges from a light rubber band snap to a warm prickling sensation (comparable in intensity to the pain of waxing). As the amount of hair in the treated area(s) decreases and lightens, you will feel less discomfort and will be able to increase the energy setting.

Immediately after treatment
Some notice mild redness at the base of each hair follicle.

Within 10-14 days after treatment
Small hair nubs will begin to eject from the skin.

Within 30 days after treatment
You will begin to see a visible reduction in the amount of hair re-growth, especially in areas where hair growth tends to be dense like the bikini line for women and on the back or chest for men.

Between on-going treatments
Results! Experience a consistent decrease in hair density with sparse, fine, re-growth.

After 6-8 monthly treatments have been completed
Maintaining a silky, smooth result may require the occasional spot treatment of stray hairs that may have been missed during the initial 6-8 treatments.
